Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Marans roosters are very simlar in color to black copper, differences being that they should exhibit more of a coppery-Mahoganny red coat and a triangular wing mirrior which is brown. Hens however show significant differences as wheaten hens are completely wheat in color. Our genes for these lines originate from Marans Unlimited whom have since retired. 

These hens still lay the gorgeous russet-chocolate egg we so desire and add a fun pop of color to our flocks and have exhibited a very high hatching rate.
