Black and blue copper Marans roosters have a black or blue base color with a lustrous deep copper color over the head, hackle, back, and saddle feathers. The hens will exhibit black bodies with copper only on head, hackle, and neck. This historic breed is excellent at foraging and laying these gorgeous rich eggs.
